Upcoming School Committee Meeting

The Oxford School Committee holds regularly scheduled public meetings on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month and occasional special meetings or workshops for specific purposes throughout the year. All meetings are duly posted with the Office of the Town Clerk. The regular meetings are held in person in the Oxford High School Community Room beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Parent Pick Up

We have 2x as many parents picking up their children this year than we have ever had before. As a result and for your student's safety, we need to revise our parent pick up procedure slightly. We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we work through this safely for your children and our staff.

If you are parked in the 3 lanes among Carbuncle (normal parent pick up) or in the 3 middle loop lanes, we will be getting your kids in your car first. If you are parked in the two lanes along the lawn where Mr. Lavelle is stationed or if you had to loop around to staff parking, we are asking that you DO NOT CALL OR FLAG YOUR CHILDREN across. Once we get the first few buses out we will dismiss the first set of parents and you will be able to loop around to the parent pick up lanes to pick up your children. They will be instructed to stay put on the lawn until you loop around.

In order for us to get all kids out safely and efficiently, please adhere to this plan as it is outlined. With a little patience we can get through this smoothly and safely.

Supply List 2021-22

Our 2021-22 supply list is posted in our electronic backpack. You can find it in the right hand column under "supply lists".

Thanks! Looking forward to seeing you all in a few weeks!

OMS Summer Programs

OMS is offering the following programs, all which start next week. An interest and sign up form was sent out to all parents on June 30th. If you did not sign up your child at that time, please click on the read more link (the heading above) for all the information and links to sign up.

Summer Reading Update

Summer Reading: There is no required summer reading for incoming grades 5, 6 and 7 this year.  We encourage all students to read over the summer and choose books they enjoy. We also encourage all students to participate in the Scholastic Summer Reading Program.  Information is available in link attached to the headline above.

Anticipated Summer Programs

Anticipated Summer Programs: OMS will be sending out an interest survey for the following programs later in July (approximate start date is July 19th for all programs and most last approximately 2 weeks):  Volleyball (4 week program), Band, Musical Theater, Lego Challenge, and IXL Math and ELA online.   In order to staff programs appropriately, we need to have an idea of how many students are interested.  If your OMS students are interested in participating, please watch for Miss Belhumeur's email this week.

April 28th Reminders

Monday and Tuesday this week are normal Hybrid learning days. Cohort A will be IN PERSON and Cohort B will be at home. Any students changing groups (whether full remote or in person) should be logging in with their new groups as they did before vacation. Please reach out to your child’s guidance counselor or teachers directly if they are having any issues with this. Their schedule in PowerSchool should reflect their new class/teacher schedule. Full remote students will continue with this new schedule the remainder of the school year.

All students who are starting FULL IN PERSON should report to school starting this WEDNESDAY 4/28/2021. Students can be dropped off starting at 7:10am and should be dropped off in the parent drop off area, not in front of the main doors. Students dropped off should enter via the 6th grade hallway under the Oxford Middle School sign. Mr. Lavelle will be outside to help direct students in the morning. Please pull all the way up and watch for students walking and being dropped off.

2020 District and Schools Report Card

Below are links to our Massachusetts district and school report cards.  An overview is provided in addition to the report cards.  The purpose of the report card is to give parents information about their child’s school in terms of academic achievement and the professional qualifications of its teachers. By making this information available each year, parents will learn how their school is doing, what its goals are, and what they can do to work more effectively with their teachers and administrators.
